Come join us at the Lewes Brewcafe where all week long we serve up teas, coffees, biscuits, great food, great beer, and plenty of cracking AF options. (NB: lovely big fridge on site - with plenty of great takeaway options, including all our range of cans.)

Based in the Malling Community Centre, the Lewes Brewcafe is a collaborative venture with Lewes Town Council. We’ve turned a brilliant public events space into a buzzing meeting place for everyone in town.

A Social Brewcafe for Lewes

As part of our residency we work alongside the council to connect with as many community groups as possible, creating a cool home for get-togethers, events, celebrations and great eats and drinks. Dog walkers, school-runners, nursery groups, footballers, knitters, book buffs, film buffs, yogis, joggers, stoolballers, toadsters, crafters, detectorists, and more… all are welcome - this is a new kind of social club for Lewes.

A Great Food and Drink Offering

We trade seven days a week. Opening hours are:

Monday to Wednesday, 8.30am to 6pm.
Thursday to Saturday, 8.30am to 11pm.
Sunday, 8.30am to 10pm.

We open in the morning to provide great coffee, teas and pastries and during the day we offer a super-healthy range of vegan and vegetarian sandwiches and salads.

Weekend afternoons and evenings we turn the space into a wellbeing taproom - featuring all the best of our beery beers and AF (alcohol free) range, hop sodas and kombuchas, alongside a rotating cast of wholesome and delicious food pairings. We also offer more top flight drinks from some of the best local Lewes and Sussex-based producers.

Our aim is to provide well priced, healthy grub and mindful drinking for everyone - with plenty of choice for the kids.

Working with the Local Community

We work closely with the Malling Community Centre team to support all public activities and events that are based at the venue. We’re also delivering a new range of activities that maximise community use of the facility, using its newly refurbed indoor spaces and lovely outdoor area that overlooks the park.
