Here's what's happening at the Lewes Brewcafe this week...
Hello Carnival, everyone's favourite Juicy DDH Pale Ale and a perfect way to welcome in March. With its juicy, hazy commotion of double dry hop goodness, vibrant aromas of white grape and pithy lime from Nelson Sauvin and Motueka, it's a reminder that spring is on the way.
Bantam, our first table beer is back on - small in stature but punching above its weight, delivering a heady mix of mango, grapefruit and pine on the nose courtesy of Citra and Simcoe, backed by a crisp, moreish bitterness. A supremely refreshing yet full bodied low ABV pale.
And to finish off we've got our regular favourites ... Bongo and Banger Helles Lager, a fine way to start off the Spring!

Opinion is divided about whether February is the worst month or an early Spring delight (for the optimists out there) ... we know where we fall on the matter, so this Friday 28th Feb from 5pm onwards we've decided to cheer things up a bit ... ALL PINTS WILL BE £4.50!!
Where else in town can you celebrate the end of winter and the start of spring for that price? All you need to do is show the above picture to the bar team and they will happily serve your pint at this one night only rate. Good time to kick off your loyalty card (see below).

Happy 1st Birthday to our wonderful Book Club, which is celebrating a year of reading in the Brewcafe this Thursday 27th Feb, 7pm KO, hosted by Dan.
It really is the most relaxing way to spend an evening and catch up on that big queue of books you keep meaning to read - switch off your phone, set yourself up with a drink and delve into your current page-turner, then stop and have a chat about what you're reading ... and get some great recommendations for the next title on your reading list.

Join Only With Love this weekend, Thurs 27th Feb - Sun 2nd March at the Good Companions in Brighton for some TTO mayhem. We'll have six kegs on the go, including our brand new Kerfuffle DDH juicy pale, plus one or two brand newbies; and five smooth casks, including a little drop of Carnival, our brand new hazy session IPA.
We'll be down there Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon to hang out and share some Only With Love goodies. It's gonna be fab - SEE YOU THERE!

Meanwhile, Beak Brewery's These Hills 2025 line-up has been announced... and we'll be there! Taking place Sat 9th - Sun 10th August at the beautifully bucolic Glynde Place near Lewes (a wonderful 16th century manor house, nestled among the rolling South Downs). Featuring a host of interstellar breweries, it'll be bigger and better than ever...

Parkrun is every Saturday... If you haven’t heard about this great weekly event, here’s what it's all about: the 5k run takes place every Saturday at 9am at Malling Recreation Ground - you can walk, jog, run or spectate… whatever you feel up to. It’s free to join in, but you’ll need to register first on the parkrun website and bring a scannable copy of your barcode along. The event is organised entirely by volunteers, so if you’re interested in helping out, send them an email on mallingrec@parkrun.com ...and, JOG ON!

Meanwhile, the Lewes Beer Mile is always on, in tandem with our pals at Beak, ABYSS and Harvey's. Come on down to the BrewCafe, have a wander and enjoy a glass or two. Just grab a map (available at all the tap rooms, and the town tourist office at the top of Lewes high street), sink a bevvy and collect a stamp at each venue. When you’ve visited all four places, you'll get yourself a special LBM tote bag – great for carrying home some souvenir cans. We've also got loads of great food, wine and AFs waiting for you alongside all our top shelf brews.

Did you know there are four brilliant spaces to hire for community events and parties at the Malling Community Centre? Check them out… two great halls situated either side of the main Brewcafe area, and of course there’s the Brewcafe itself.
From sports clubs to book clubs, birthday parties to game nights, charity events to community celebrations, these amazing spaces are yours to use. Whatever your gig, there's loads of great things we can do together - with a full bar, great food options and a winning team.
Brewcafe aside, the Small Hall to the left of us offers a great space for slightly bigger gatherings. It holds up to 70 people when seated - and it's run and maintained by our partners at Lewes Town Council. (NB: this space can also be divided up into two equal parts for smaller get togethers - creating a third space to use.) Available for hire from as little as £8 per hour. You can also have access to everything the Brewcafe offers.
The Main Hall to the right of the Brewcafe is an amazing space for your big parties and events. It holds up to 120 people when seated (also run by our pals at the council). Available for hire from as little as £12 per hour. Like with the small hall, you can also have access to everything the Brewcafe offers - drinks, food, and more.
